Education Philosophy (Core Values)
Our Educators
Our core educators of the Chinese Pre-Kindergarten program are professionals from Dash Chinese PH with several decades of experience in teaching Chinese to children in the Philippines.
Teacher Loung Ming Chen
Our senior educator was born and raised in a family of teachers in Taiwan. Later, she came to the Philippines and taught Chinese at Jubilee Christian Academy (JCA) for several decades. She handled the elementary and preschool levels as the Chinese department head and gained numerous experience in teaching Chinese to young children. In 2008, she co-found Dash Chinese PH and was able to develop an effective curriculum for teaching students Chinese in a fun and interesting way.
Teacher Chi Chi
Our head teacher obtained her undergraduate degree in BS Family Life and Child Development from UP Diliman and a master’s degree in counseling from DLSU Manila. She is a Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT) and at the same time, a Registered Guidance Counselor (RGC). She began teaching Chinese in Dash as a part-time teacher ever since her high school days. Her background in child development and counseling has further strengthened her understanding of how children learn and why they behave the way they do.
Activities and Programs
The main focus of the Chinese Pre-Kindergarten program is on Chinese language development. Learning the language involves children’s daily exposure to our Chinese-speaking environment with guidance from the Montessori philosophy, modern counseling philosophies, tools, and teaching methods.
